Playa Conchal is located in Cabo Velas, in Costa Rica’s Guanacaste Province. It has beautiful views of the Pacific. It is located two kilometer south of Playa Brasilito and Playa Flamingo, and a short ride from Tamarindo. This beach is considered as the most beautiful beach in Costa Rica. This striking beach is four kilometer long. Playa Conchal has a unique sand comprising millions of finely crushed seashells (conchas) and was awarded the Blue Flag eco-label for its cleanliness. The ocean water is an intense turquoise blue. Aquatic activities enjoyed include snorkeling, fishing, marine life observation, deep-sea fishing, and scuba diving.
You will find beautiful national parks and nature reserves ecolodges near this beach. Local weather and water temperatures are always fabulous throughout the year, with sunlight lasting, with over 12 hours the day during winter and spring months.

Accommodation / Hotels

Accommodations at Playa Conchal are to some extent limited. The majority of the people visit Conchal for the day while staying at nearby Tamarindo Beach where hotels are plentiful for every budget ranges. Activities / Thing to do

Playa Conchal is located on the North Pacific Coast of Costa Rica. It is very close to Playa Flamingo and Playa Tamarindo. These places also have beautiful white sand beaches with crystal blue water and palm trees. It is now a famous tourist destination.
With some of the clearest waters on the Gold Coast, snorkeling is a must-indulge activity for anyone who knows how to swim. With a fantastic collection of marine life on show, you can swim with the several tropical fish that reside here, and even catch a sight of stingrays that swim in the area. For the more adventurous, deep seas fishing, scuba diving, and other water sports are offered as well. If you get tired of the beach, Playa Conchal is also very close to some national parks and nature reserves. Nearby is a small estuary as well. Surrounded by a number of cattle ranches, Playa Conchal also has quite a few areas where one can camp out and sleep under the stars.

For the enthusiastic golfer, the ‘Garra de Leon’ Golf Course is just a few paces away from the beach and is considered to be one of the best golf courses in Central America, Costa Rica with its breathtaking scenic beauty of the Pacific coast. Bordered by a jungle on one side, you can frequently see howler monkeys that live there.

Getting to Playa Conchal

The Playa Conchal Costa Rica is reachable by air from San Jose to Tamarindo Domestic Airport; from there you can take a taxi to reach the town in 10 minutes. You can also reach by car from Daniel Oduber International Airport in Liberia; it will take around 45 minutes to reach Playa Conchal. If you really want to enjoy the beautiful scenic, make a drive from San Jose, it will take around 4 hours to reach Playa Conchal.
